Act Fast Training

At Act Fast Training, we believe learning lifesaving skills should be both informative and enjoyable. That’s why we offer American Heart Association–certified CPR, AED, and First Aid courses that are hands-on, flexible, and engaging. Our goal is simple: to give you the confidence to Act Fast and effectively in an emergency — while making the learning experience memorable and stress-free.

Our Classes

1

Basic Life Support 
Healthcare Providers

Our American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) course is tailored for healthcare providers, medical professionals, and others who require the skills to perform CPR and advanced cardiovascular life support in both clinical and prehospital settings. This interactive, hands-on training teaches high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants, proper use of an AED, and effective teamwork during critical emergencies.

 

Participants will learn:

  • The Chain of Survival and its importance in saving lives

  • High-quality CPR techniques for adults, children, and infants

  • How to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

  • Effective ventilations using a bag valve mask (BVM) and barrier device

  • Importance of teams in multirescurer recitation and performance as an effective team member during mutirescurer CPR

  • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (chocking) for adults and infants

Upon successful completion, students will receive a two-year American Heart Association BLS Provider certification card

CPR & AED  
Non-Healthcare Providers

This American Heart Association course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Participants will learn how to:

  • Explain how high-quality CPR improves survival

  • Understand the Chain of Survival and it's importance of saving lives

  • Recognize when someone needs CPR

  • Perform high-quality CPR for an adult, child, and infant

  •  Perform CPR with help from others

  • Give effective breaths using mouth-to-mouth or a barrier device for all age groups

  • Use an AED on an adult, child, and Infant

  • Recognize when and how to help a choking adult, child, infant

Upon successful completion, participants receive a two-year American Heart Association CPR & AED certification card

Heartsaver
CPR, AED & First Aid 

Community / Non-Healthcare Provider

The American Heart Association Heartsaver course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g. OSHA), or other requirements, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

 

 

 

 

 

Participants will learn:

  • First Aid Basics

  • Medical emergencies

  • Injury emergencies

  • Environmental emergencies

  • Preventing illness and injury

  • Adult CPR and AED use

  • Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies

  • Optional modules in Child CPR AED and Infant CPR

  • Deliver basic care until professional medical help arrives.

Upon successful completion, participants receive a two-year American Heart Association Heartsaver certification. You can purchase a course completion card for an additional $25.

Story

Get to Know Us

With nearly 25 years of experience as a paramedic, Eric has dedicated his career to saving lives and educating others. He began his career in emergency medicine in Southern California before transitioning to Northern California when he joined the fire service.

 

In 2024, Eric founded Act Fast Training, a CPR business known for its fun and flexible training environment. Fully accredited through the American Heart Association, Act Fast Training offers a range of courses, including Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR and first aid for healthcare providers, as well as the Heartsaver program for the general public. The business emphasizes convenience, providing training at medical and dental offices, in clients’ homes, or workplaces, with a flexible schedule that accommodates learners seven days a week.
